News Last Smoker, Judas and Me, Fat Camp and More Add NYMF Performances The New York Musical Theatre Festival, which is tuning up to launch its sixth season in midtown Manhattan on Sept. 28, has already announced extensions of anticipated new productions.

Each year NYMF assembles casts of Broadway and Off-Broadway actors to inhabit the compact runs of the musicals featured in the three-week festival. With member packages available in early August, most seats for high-profile productions tend to sell swiftly, with numerous productions announcing sold-out performances prior to the beginning of the festival. Musicals with added performances include the Bill Russell (Side Show, Elegies for Angels…) and Peter Melnick (Adrift in Macao) musical The Last Smoker in America (added performances on Oct. 14 at 1 PM and Oct. 16 at 11 PM); the Sam Forman and David Eric Davis musical F#@cking Up Everything (Oct. 15 at 11 PM); Randy Blair, Timothy Michael Drucker and Matthew roi Berger's Fat Camp (Oct. 2 at 4 PM); Daniel Gwirtzman's Encore (Oct. 2 at 5 PM); Wedding Singer collaborators Chad Beguelin and Matthew Sklar's Judas and Me (Oct. 11 at 5 PM); David Ingber's Fantasy Football (Oct. 3 at 11 PM); Michael Holland and Eric Bernat's epic musical Hurricane (Oct. 9 at 5 PM); Vynnie Meli and Casey L. Filiaci's Plagued (Oct. 10 at 4:30 PM); and the special presentation of the Michael Blevins, Beth Clary, Scott Knipe, Bruce Sacks and David Wollenberger musical Count to Ten (Oct. 16 at 5 PM).
