Musician Marcus Strickland will be featured along with a brass choir featuring Craig Harris (conductor/trombone), Bob Stewart (tuba), Joe Daley (euphonium), Alfred Patterson (trombone), Curtis Fowlkes (trombone) and Gary Valente (trombone). Adam Klipple will also be heard on keyboards, with Damon DueWhite on drums. "Inspired by James Weldon Johnson’s 1927 collection of poems that mimic the rhythm and cadence of gospel preachers, and by the powerful brass tradition carried out at the United House of Prayer For All People in Harlem, which has been bringing congregations to one accord of ecstasy and spirit for decades, God's Trombones," according to press notes, "focuses on universal spirituality."
