PlayBlog Latest "Glee" Album Is Another Number One The first season of "Glee" may be over, but its music continues to make plenty of people sing.


The latest “Glee” soundtrack album – “Glee: The Music, Journey to Regionals” – is the third of the five released albums of “Glee” music to reach Number 1 on the Billboard charts, according to the New York Times.

The new EP – which was released the same day as the series’ season finale June 8, and which features six songs from the episode – sold 152,000 copies when it was released the week of June, beating the soundtrack to “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” Christina Aguilera’s “Bionic” album, Jack Johnson’s “To the Sea,” and “Goon Affiliated,” the latest album from Florida-based rapper Plies.

The five “Glee” albums released this season have collectively sold almost 2.2 million copies, and individual tracks boast approximately 8.9 million downloads. “The Music, Volume 3, Showstoppers” remains at Number 7 on the charts, with “The Music, Volume 1” at Number 37, “The Power of Madonna” at Number 46, and “The Music, Volume 2” at number 48.
