News Lauren Kennedy Sings at NYC Barnes and Noble Nov. 8; Sklar, Lassen, Salzman Join In The "Voices of Broadway" series at the Lincoln Triangle Barnes and Noble in Manhattan continues Nov. 8 with a 5:30 PM performance and CD signing by Lauren Kennedy.

In celebration of their respective solo CD releases (Nov. 6) on the PS Classics label, Victoria Clark ("Fifteen Seconds of Grace") and Andréa Burns ("A Deeper Shade of Red") made separate appearances Nov. 6-7 at the Lincoln Center book store. Kennedy is the third PS Classics diva to appear.

Kennedy, who recently appeared as the Lady of the Lake in Broadway's Spamalot, will perform songs from her second recording for PS Classics, "Here and Now." Kennedy's latest offering celebrates the work of a new generation of Broadway composers. Writers Matthew Sklar (The Wedding Singer) and Joshua Salzman (I Love You Because) will join her for the Nov. 8 5:30 PM appearance. Musical director Fred Lassen will accompany Kennedy for her musical performance. Musicians from her recent Birdland gig will also appear.

Kennedy's disc includes "Here I Am," "Spread a Little Joy," "Unanswered Question," "My Lifelong Love," "Pretending That I'm Somebody Else," "Just Not Now," "In This Room," "Through the Mountain," "Mr. Hopalong Heartbreak," "Easy," "Apathetic Man," "I'm Free," "You'll Want Me to Shine."
