New company Heartbeat Opera describes the benefit event as "part pageant, all party," and Miss Handel as a playful re-interpretation of composer George Frideric Handel's classic work.

Four performances of Miss Handel will be presented Oct. 29-Oct. 30 at the Cotton Candy Machine in Brooklyn.

Joining Worsham will be Stanley Bahorek, Ato Blankson-Wood, John Taylor Ward, Scott Mello, Kristin Gornstein, James Cusati-Moyer, Jude Ziliak and Sarah Stone with costume, make-up, wig, set and lighting design by Reid Thompson, Seth Bodie, Jon Carter and Oliver Wason.

All money raised will go towards funding Heartbeat Opera’s March Festival productions of Lucia di Lammermoor and Dido & Aeneas, running March 10-20, 2016, in the Theatre at St. Clement’s.

"Don your powdery wigs, your dazzling masks, and prepare ye for beauty marks, coloraturas, fans, cocktails, raffle prizes, a costume contest, and so much more!" state press notes from Hearbeat Opera. "A joyful, delicious cross-over event, bridging high Baroque art, drag show, immersive theatre, and raucous party."
