Barry Ivan, NSMT artistic director and executive producer, said in a statement, "North Shore Music Theatre has provided opportunities to so many in the entertainment industry and we are extremely grateful for this outpouring of support from the New York theatre and television communities. I continue to be encouraged by the financial and creative efforts being made to ensure NSMT's future. These performances will be an opportunity to enjoy the immense talent of our alumni and others while raising important funds to support the theatre."
Music director Usifer added, "So many actors, directors, choreographers, musicians and technicians from New York and across the country have had the privilege of working at North Shore Music Theatre. This would be a great loss of an institution and cultural treasure dedicated to presenting and preserving the art of American musical theatre for more than 50 years."
