Tribeca Film Festival has revealed its 2019 lineup, heading to the screen April 24–May 5 in the namesake New York City neighborhood. Several Tony Award winners and other noted stage alums appear in feature films chosen for the 18th annual festival.

The previously reported thriller Only, directed and written by Takashia Doscher and starring Hamilton Tony winner Leslie Odom Jr. and Freida Pinto, will make its world premiere. The film follows a couple fighting for survival and answers after a mysterious plague threatens female extinction.

Only is part of the Festival’s Spotlight Narrative series, as is American Woman (featuring Tony winners Ellen Burstyn and John Gallagher Jr.), the Ted Bundy drama Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (with Zac Efron, Dylan Baker, and Jim Parsons), and Standing Up, Falling Down (with Billy Crystal and Tony winner Debra Monk).

Among the titles in the U.S. Narrative Competition this year are Stray Dolls with Tony Award winner Cynthia Nixon and Swallow with Tony winner Denis O'Hare and Elizabeth Marvel, currently on Broadway in King Lear.

The roster’s myriad documentaries includes the world premiere of After Parkland, exploring the lives of the students and families affected by the 2018 shooting at Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The tragedy and its effect on the community has been the focus of multiple other documentaries, including the similarly titled short Awakening: After Parkland, with followed a community production of Spring Awakening that took on new resonance in the wake of the events.
