Playwright and actor Lester Thomas Shane will appear in the West Coast premiere of his own one-man play Mortal Coil: Voices from the Hospice at the Stella Adler Theater in Los Angeles, CA. The limited engagement begins July 30. Shane's play is drawn from his experiences working as a volunteer in a New York City hospice. Throughout the piece, he portrays 13 different characters including a sardonic nurse, a man with a brain tumor, a lesbian whose partner has AIDS, and a comatose 87-year-old woman.
