The curtain came down on the original Broadway production seventeen years ago, and the recent Broadway revival will close in December, but ever since the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical premiered in London in 1981, the show has always been playing somewhere in the world. The Broadway production will celebrate 35 years since opening on Broadway October 7.

Throughout the years many actors have taken on the iconic role of Grizabella, the glamour cat and belter of the musical’s showstopper, “Memory.”
