The Evening Standard has announced that Lin-Manuel Miranda and Cate Blanchett will be among the hosts of the 2017 Evening Standard Theatre Awards, set to be held December 3. Miranda and Blanchett will co-host along with Vogue editor-in-chief and avid theatregoer Anna Wintour and Evening Standard's Evgeny Lebedev.
The event will be presented by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the award-winning playwright and actor behind Fleabag, a solo play that won the Fringe First Award and was adapted into a popular sitcom by the BBC.
After giving Broadway its biggest hit in years with Hamilton, Miranda is now poised to make a similar splash on London's West End. Following a two-week postponement, Hamilton begins performances at the Victoria Palace Theatre in December, but is already completely sold out through June 2018.

Blanchett made her Broadway debut in last season's The Present, receiving a Tony nomination for her performance, and is scheduled to appear in a new stage adaptation of the classic film All About Eve, helmed by Ivo Van Hove.
Wintour's participation in the event is a personal one, as her father was a former editor of The Evening Standard and helped create the Evening Standard Theatre Awards.
