Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and star of Hamilton and In the Heights Lin-Manuel Miranda spoke with Hoda Kotb on NBC's The Today Show July 5.

In the video above, the composer spoke about the forthcoming August 16 opening-night performance of Hamilton at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre, as well as the many celebrities who have taken part in the #Ham4All fundraising challenge to benefit the Immigrants: We Get the Job Done Coalition. Kotb also revealed which Broadway musical was the first she had ever seen.

Miranda will appear alongside Emily Blunt in Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns, set to be released on Christmas Day 2018. His additional upcoming projects include collaborating with Alan Menken on a live-action The Little Mermaid and developing TV and film adaptations of The Kingkiller Chronicle.
