Classic Arts News Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra's A Love Supreme Makes First Chart Appearance The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra's A Love Supreme entered the Billboard jazz chart for the first time this week at number 21.

The band's rendition of John Coltrane's classic composition is its first release on the Palmetto label, after eight albums for Sony/Columbia. LCJO trumpeter and bandleader Wynton Marsalis also enjoyed sales gains for his score to the Ken Burns documentary Unforgiveable Blackness: The Rise and Fall of Jack Johnson, which moved from number 15 to number 12.

Also appearing on the chart for the first time was Miles to Miles, an electrified tribute to Miles Davis from keyboardist and producer Jason Miles, at number 21.

Trumpeter Chris Botti's When I Fall in Love, a collection of standards, stayed at number one. Vocalist Madeleine Peyroux's Careless Love stayed at number two for the third straight week despite sales gains.

The top spots on the contemporary jazz chart remained the same, with Kenny G's At Last... The Duets Album at number one, Jamie Cullum's twentysomething at number two, and Kenny G's greatest-hits collection Ultimate Kenny G at number three.
