MTC confirmed the world premiere of his Rabbit Hole "is currently scheduled for the MTC 2005-2006 season to be directed by Daniel Sullivan."

Casting, dates, and venue will be announced at a later date. The New York Times Magazine reported Feb. 13 that the Juilliard-bred playwright would see MTC produce the new work next season. The play is reportedly about parents dealing with the loss of a child. The play mixes both hope and hurt.

Fuddy Meers premiered at MTC in 1999, and later transferred to the Minetta Lane Theatre for a commercial run. It has since received over a hundred productions around the country and abroad, and is now being adapted for the screen. Lindsay-Abaire's Wonder of the World was produced last season at MTC, after premiering at Washington, DC's Woolly Mammoth Theatre, where it was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award as Outstanding New Play of the Year. Kimberly Akimbo was commissioned by South Coast Rep, premiered there in 2001, received the L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award for playwriting, three Garland Awards, and the 2001 Kesselring Prize.

The playwright, whose works have absurdist streaks that remind critics of Christopher Durang and other who deal in dark comedy, is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and the Juilliard School, as well as a proud member of New Dramatists, the Dramatists Guild, and the WGA.
