The musical features music by John Kavanaugh, lyrics by David Goldsmith and a book by Goldsmith and Wendy Perelman. Perelman conceived the show, which will be directed by Richard Israel.

"In 1982," press notes state, "Helen Gurley Brown wrote the landmark book, 'Having It All,' that proposed that women could in fact, 'have it all' -- successful careers, children, husbands, family life, and still have time to cook dinner and do the laundry! Now almost 30 years later, in this World Premiere musical, five women -- each with her own hopes, secrets and desires -- find themselves trapped together in a boarding area at JFK airport. When delay after airport delay forces them to get to know each other, they come to find that each of them can’t take flight in more ways than one. As they share their stories and intimacies, they ultimately change one another’s destinations for the better, while discovering that they may in fact, be already having it all."

Kavanaugh has written music for the animated features "Winnie the Pooh – Springtime with Roo" and "Globe Hunters: An Around the World in Eighty Days Adventure," as well as "You're the Dream," the theme for the 2003 Olympics, and songs for Michael Crawford and Tokyo Disney. Goldsmith's credits as a lyricist include Imagine This, Hot Shoe Shuffle and Hats! The Musical For The Rest Of Your Life.

Perelman has worked as an actress in the national tour of My One and Only, in New York and regionally. She co-produced and co-starred in the film "Good Money," which won the 1997 New York Comedy Film Festival award for Best Feature.

Having It All was an official selection of the 2006 New York Music Theatre Festival and the 2008 National Alliance for Music Theatre Songwriters Showcase.
