News Lisa Dillon to Star in Brendan Cowell's Happy New at London's Trafalgar Studios Lisa Dillon will star in Brendan Cowell's Happy New, beginning performances June 4 prior to an official opening June 6 at London's Trafalgar Studios 2, for a four-week run through June 29.

Previously seen in London at the fringe Old Red Lion Theatre in 2012, the play is directed by Robert Shaw and also features Joel Samuels and William Troughton. In the play, set in the Australian outback, "Danny (Troughton) and Lyle (Samuels) are abandoned by their mother in the chicken coop. Discovered after several months, surrounded only by hens, feathers, pecking and clawing, they are taken into care. Over the years since then, they've become media celebrities. TV journalist Pru (Dillon) has entered their lives. But now society is bored of them. It's New Year's Eve. Tomorrow Danny and Lyle must leave care and step out into the world alone for the first time. But are childhood traumas coming home to roost? What's Pru hatching? Why's she egging them on? Will they ever eat Nando’s again? And of course, which came first?"

Dillon's recent theatre credits include Birthday for the Royal Court and The Taming of the Shrew and Othello (both RSC). At the Almeida, she has appeared in The Knot of the Heart, When the Rain Stops Falling and Period of Adjustment. At the Old Vic, she has appeared in A Flea in Her Ear and Design for Living. TV credits inlcude "The Jury II," "Dirk Gently," "Midsomer Murders," "Cranford" (Series I & II), "Hawking" and "Cambridge Spies."
