Artistic director Bartlett Sher and managing director Laura Penn announced the productions that will be seen during the Washington company's 2008 season. Dates and further details are forthcoming.
The 2008 season (subject to change) includes the following:
The drama centering on American politics will conclude the company's five-year "American Cycle" series.
The haunting story of a young girl hiding away during World War II.
The new Tony Award-nominated comedy about a closeted Hollywood star.
The world premiere written and performed by Weem draws from "his childhood experiences growing up in Africa and South Asia [and tells] a personal story about being an artist and what it means to go home," according to press notes. An additional play that will be part of the season has yet to be announced. The company will also present its annual holiday production of Black Nativity.
