News Little Dog Laughed, Diary of Anne Frank and All the King's Men Set for 2008 Intiman Season The Little Dog Laughed, The Diary of Anne Frank, All the King's Men and the world premiere of Namaste Man (Lost and Found in Kathmandu) will be part of the upcoming season at Seattle's Intiman Theatre.

Artistic director Bartlett Sher and managing director Laura Penn announced the productions that will be seen during the Washington company's 2008 season. Dates and further details are forthcoming.

The 2008 season (subject to change) includes the following:

 

 

  • All the King's Men - Adrian Hall's adaptation of Robert Penn Warren's novel
    The drama centering on American politics will conclude the company's five-year "American Cycle" series.  

  •  

     

  • The Diary of Anne Frank - Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett's dramatization
    The haunting story of a young girl hiding away during World War II.  

  •  

     

  • The Little Dog Laughed - by Douglas Carter Beane
    The new Tony Award-nominated comedy about a closeted Hollywood star.  

  •  

     

  • Namaste Man (Lost and Found in Kathmandu) — by Andrew Weems
    The world premiere written and performed by Weem draws from "his childhood experiences growing up in Africa and South Asia [and tells] a personal story about being an artist and what it means to go home," according to press notes. An additional play that will be part of the season has yet to be announced. The company will also present its annual holiday production of Black Nativity.
