News Liz Callaway Is "Between Flights" at the Metropolitan Room Liz Callaway has performed one-night concerts at various New York nightspots as well as lengthy cabaret runs with sister Ann Hampton Callaway, but the celebrated singing actress is now making her debut solo cabaret engagement in Manhattan.

Through Dec. 2 Callaway will perform at the Metropolitan Room in an evening titled "Between Flights." Callaway, who is accompanied by musical director Alex Rybeck on piano, performs tunes from her stage and film career as well as songs by Stephen Sondheim, Stephen Schwartz, Maltby and Shire and Jimmy Webb. Callaway said in a statement that her new show is "an eclectic evening that's not quite autobiographical but certainly personal."

Liz Callaway, most recently on Broadway in The Look of Love, made her Broadway debut in the original cast of Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along, and she also took part in the anniversary concert of that musical. For her work in the musical Baby, she received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, and her other Broadway credits include The Three Musketeers, Miss Saigon and Cats. Callaway's solo recordings include "The Beat Goes On," "Anywhere I Wander—Liz Callaway Sings Frank Loesser" and "The Story Goes On."
