Decca Broadway will release the double CD March 28. The Likes of Us, which concerns the life of nineteenth-century philanthropist Dr. Thomas Barnardo, was recorded live at Lloyd Webber's Sydmonton Festival in July 2005.

The musical was written by Lloyd Webber and Rice in 1965. Minor adjustments were made to the musical for the Sydmonton staging, and one new song, "This Is My Time," was written by Lloyd Webber.

The Likes of Us, according to press notes, is described thusly: "Shocked by the appalling conditions surrounding the impoverished children of Victorian London, [Dr. Barnardo] decides to devote his life's works to helping them, which led to the foundation the famous children's homes that bear his name today." The cast of the recording features lyricist Rice as well as Stephen Fry as the Narrator.
