Performed by second year acting students and postgraduate Diploma in Acting students, Boys will be presented at the Liverpool venue April 16-19. The Boys in the Photograph features music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and a book and lyrics by Ben Elton. The musical, according to the Liverpool Institute's website, is described as such: "A group of young lads in a 1969 Belfast football team and the girls who support them have their dreams for the future suddenly, and often brutally, torn apart as riots erupt on the streets. In the midst of the Troubles John and Mary struggle to make sense of their growing love for each other as friendships are tested and loyalties are challenged. Will it survive? There were eleven Boys In The Photograph – where will they be years from now?"

The Toronto Star previously reported that the reworked version of Beautiful Game will be part of the 2008-2009 Mirvish subscription season. A co-production with Winnipeg's Manitoba Theatre Centre, The Boys in the Photograph will likely play the Winnipeg venue April-May 2009 and then transfer to Toronto's Canon Theatre beginning in June.

Lyricist-librettist Elton will also direct that production, which will feature a Canadian cast and creative team.
