News London Musical 125th Street Extends Runs

125th Street has announced an extension at the Shaftesbury Theatre, where it opened on Sept. 17.

The show is now booking to April 26, 2003, an encouraging sign for a new musical. Set in the Apollo Theatre in New York's Harlem district in the late 1960's, 125th Street is an exuberant tribute to the 60's music scene and to the extraordinary, empowering effect that music had on the local community at a time of considerable political and social upheaval.
