News London's Fringe Union Theatre to Stage Revival of Finian's Rainbow
Burton Lane and E.Y. Harburg's 1947 Broadway musical Finian's Rainbow is to be revived at London's fringe Union Theatre beginning performances Feb. 12 prior to an official opening Feb. 14, for a run through March 15.

According to press materials, this represents the first time the show is being professionally produced in the U.K. since its original West End run, when the show had a very short-lived run at the Palace Theatre, also in 1947.

The production will be directed by Union Theatre regular Phil Willmott, with musical direction by Richard Baker and choreography by Thomas Michael Voss.

The cast comprises James Horne, Christina Bennington, Raymond Walsh, Michael Moulton, Anne Odeke, Marcia Lorenzo Cerise Reid, Michael J Hayes, John Last, Joseph Peters, Laura Bella Griffin, David Malcolm, Chris Kayson, Joshua Coley, Carl Bradley, Celia Byrne, Laura Webb, Shani Cantor, Danielle Acors, Lucy Murdoch, Rebecca Crawley, Abigail Carter Simpson and Stacey Victoria Bland.

The show, which features such songs as "Old Devil Moon," "If This Isn't Love," "Look to the Rainbow" and "How are Things in Glocca Morra?," revolves around an Irish immigrant, pursued by a leprechaun, hoping to grow gold in the soil around Fort Knox whilst finding a husband for his daughter.
