News London's Menier Chocolate Factory Announces Full Casting for Mike Leigh's Abigail's Party London's Menier Chocolate Factory has announced full casting for its new production of Mike Leigh's Abigail's Party, beginning performances March 2 prior to an official opening March 8, for a run through April 21, then playing at Bath Theatre Royal April 23-28.

Joining the previously announced Jill Halfpenny are Joe Absolom, Natalie Casey, Susannah Harker and Andy Nyman.

Absolom, who plays Tony, is best known for his TV roles as Matthew Rose in "EastEnders" and Al Large in "Doc Martin" alongside Martin Clunes. He has also appeared in the TV series "Ashes To Ashes," "New Tricks" and "Vincent." His films include "Extreme Ops" and "Long Time Dead."

Casey, who plays Angela, has previously been seen at the Menier in The Invisible Man and is currently appearing as Paulette in Legally Blonde in the West End. She is best known for her long-running roles in Channel 4's "Hollyoaks" and the BBC sitcom "Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps."

Harker, who plays Susan, is best known for her role as Jane in the acclaimed BBC production of "Pride and Prejudice" and the TV series "House of Cards." Theatre credits include The Little Platoons (Bush), Jingo (Finborough) and On the Shore of the Wide World (Royal Exchange and NT).

Nyman, who plays Laurence, was last seen at the Menier in the world premiere of Saul Rubinek's Terrible Advice last year. Other theatre credits include Ghost Stories (Lyric Hammersmith/Duke of York's) and Moonlight and Magnolias (Tricycle). Films include "Death at a Funeral," "Severance," "The Tournament" and "Wayne’s World II."

Abigail's Party is directed by Lindsay Posner, currently represented in London by his production of Noises Off (Old Vic), and designed by Mike Britton, with lighting by Howard Harrison and sound by Fergus O'Hare.
