News   London's National Announces Late Lounge Line-Up
Due to the ongoing success of the Late Lounge at the National Theatre — attracting a music/arts crossover crowd in the bar overlooking the Thames — the National have announced a new season.

The Late Lounge is a playground for new ideas from the NT's four hosts and extra special guests. Some evenings will feature visuals, film footage, vocalists and percussionists. Entry is free. Glasses of house wine and bottles of Stella are £2 after 10 PM, and look out for the Late Lounge's new luscious late lounge cocktails.

The Late Lounge Hosts are:

2nd and 4th Friday of the month: Semi d-tached with Ben Osborne. Broken beats to electro freeks, drill fuelled disco to jazz drenched house, drum 'n' bass to funky garage breaks, break beat to techno bleeps and anything else that'll sway Denys Lasdun's hallowed halls. Guests to date have included DJ Rollercone, Ali Friend, Chris Coco, Si Begg, Banco de Gaia, Tutto Matto, Mello, Erlend Oye.

3rd Friday of the month: Soul et Lumiere hosted by Rita Ray and Max Reinhardt (Shrine at Cargo) continue their unique night where 2 worldbeat soundscapeologists improvise a movie soundtrack together, catching the vibe off each other's riffs and visions, beats and loops. Improvised cinema — a shimmering world of sound and light.

1st Saturday of the month: Nick Luscombe (XFM flo-motion) provides a mix of global electronica, from deep house and Detroit techno to ambient and dub. 2nd Saturday of the month: A Man Called Adam present Town and Country. More cutting-edge music and video art, including the first screening of Sally & Steve's own shorts, featuring specially composed "A Man Called Adam" soundtracks (March), a new film from New York genius Micky Hole, and a dance/film performance from Anna (Glypta) Nyman.
