The City of Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department has added the newly opened Madrid Theatre to its list of performance spaces.

The Madrid is a 471-seat professional-level performing arts facility in the heart of historic "Antique Row" in downtown Canoga Park. The inaugural production, The Mousetrap, is currently being presented by Woodland Hills Community Theatre.

The Cultural Affairs Department also operates the Los Angeles Theatre Center, a five-theatre, state-of-the-art facility in downtown L.A.; The Warner Grand Theatre, a 1600-seat auditorium in San Pedro; and Gallery Theatre, a 299-seat facility in Hollywood's Barnsdall Art Park. All of these venues are rented out at significantly reduced rates and boast an impressive array of technical services and personnel, box office support, marketing and promotional support, dressing room and lobby facilities, etc. Their stated goal is to enable and encourage renters to provide affordable ticket prices to live performances.
