PlayBlog Luigi Creatore To Discuss An Error of the Moon on "Valerie's New York" Aug. 18 Playwright, lyricist and record producer Luigi Creatore will visit Valerie Smaldone's WOR Radio program, "Valerie's New York," to discuss his new play, An Error of the Moon, Aug. 18 at 11 AM.

The play fictionalizes the relationship between brothers Edwin and John Wilkes Booth, "the rock stars of their day," according to press notes. "Edwin tells his tale of a man consumed by sexual jealousy, of bitter sibling rivalry, and the mad obsession that sparked the assassination of Abraham Lincoln."

Creatore has also written the hit Off-Broadway play Flamingo Court and lyrics for the musical Maggie Flynn and the pop standards "Can't Help Falling in Love" and "The Lion Sleeps Tonight." As a record producer, he has created hit records for Sarah Vaughan, Jimmie Rodgers, Perry Como, Sam Cooke, and many others.

An Error of the Moon is currently in previews at The Beckett Theatre on Theatre Row, where it will officially open Aug. 30 and run through Oct. 10. For tickets visit telecharge.com.
