Mark Lamos directs the 22nd season opener for the company which begins July 25 and opens Aug. 9 at 59E59 Theaters, the company's home, for a run through Sept. 2.

Playbill.com's Harry Haun first reported the casting of John McMartin, Rebecca Luker, Pamela Payton-Wright, Jack Gilpin, Katherine McGrath and Matthew Arkin. Director Lamos told Haun April 20, "It's a little memoir about a boy growing up rebellious in Buffalo right after World War II."

The playwright of Sylvia, Love Letters and previous Primary Stages presentation Strictly Academic pens a new tale of a young boy who "uses his Indian ancestry as a cause and an excuse for his adolescent attacks on the genteel world around him."

The complete cast features Matthew Arkin (Dinner with Friends), Jeremy Blackman (Beauty and the Beast), Jack Gilpin (The Elephant Man), Rebecca Luker (The Music Man), Katherine McGrath (A Man of No Importance), John McMartin (Follies, Into The Woods, Grey Gardens), Charles Socarides (Awake and Sing! ) and Pamela Payton-Wright (The Cherry Orchard).

Primary Stages 2006-2007 season will continue with the New York premieres of Kathleen Clark's Southern Comforts directed by Judith Ivey (Sept. 19-Oct. 29) and the new Peter Melnick-Christopher Durang musical Adrift in Macao directed by Sheryl Kaller and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli (Jan. 23-March 4, 2007).
