David Schweizer will direct the production, which will run Jan. 14, 2009-Feb. 15, 2009, at the New Jersey venue. Redgrave will play Lady Bracknell; additional casting will be announced shortly.

The Importance of Being Earnest, according to press notes, "is about maintaining fictitious identities to avoid unwelcome social obligations. Jack Worthing's brother, Earnest, provides Jack with the excuse to escape from his dull home in the country to frolic in town. The home of Algernon Moncreiff's friend Bunbury provides a convenient locale for taking adventures in the country. The problem? Earnest and Bunbury are imaginary, created by Jack and Algernon to add a dash of excitement to their lives. Their deceptions eventually cross paths, resulting in a series of hilarious crises that threaten to spoil their romantic pursuits."

Last seen on Broadway in a Tony-nominated turn in The Constant Wife, Lynn Redgrave's other credits include Talking Heads, The Exonerated, Black Comedy, Aren't We All, Moon Over Buffalo and another Tony-nominated turn in Mrs. Warren's Profession. She was nominated for Academy Awards for her work in the films "Gods and Monsters" and "Georgy Girl."
