News MAC Winner Andersen to Offer Songs Along the Way Sundays in November Award-winning singer-songwriter Tom Andersen, who starred in the long-running San Francisco revue Beach Blanket Babylon, will present his brand-new cabaret act next month at The Encore.

Anderson's newest show is titled Songs Along the Way and will be performed Sundays, Nov. 6, 13, 20 and 27 at 4 PM. Cabaretgoers can expect to hear a mix of pop, country and swing tunes, including "Ghost in This House" and "Breezin' Along With the Breeze," both from Andersen's Bistro-winning CD "Who Knows." Musical conductor Ian Herman will lead the back-up band. A romantic tenor, Tom Andersen has played Carnegie Hall, Weill Recital Hall and Town Hall, and has headlined at Tavern on the Green, Maxim's, the Russian Tea Room, the Algonquin and Eighty Eight's. He is the recipient of four Backstage Bistro Awards and five MAC Awards, and his solo recordings include "The Journey," "Who Knows?" and "Far Away Places." Andersen was also featured in the Off-Broadway revue "Cabariety."
