Wicked novelist Gregory Maguire, the cast of [title of show] and Tony Award winner Jack Hofsiss will all be part of the upcoming season at the new 92YTribeca.

The 92nd Street Y's new downtown home officially opens its doors Oct. 18 and will feature music performances, film screenings, discussions and social events.

"With 92YTribeca, we are creating a downtown cultural hub for the 20-something set, where a night out is empowering and inspiring – as well as lots of fun. By day, we hope it will be a home away from home for adults of all ages to learn, socialize, explore – and eat some amazing food," Sol Adler, executive director of the 92nd Street Y, said in a statement.

Theatre-related events include Tony Award-winning director Jack Hofsiss, who will discuss his forthcoming one-man show Jack from Above. Inspired by a trip to China in order to seek a cure following a disabling accident, Hofsiss will be joined by collaborators Ethan Silverman and Matt McGrath at 8 PM on Oct. 20.

Gregory Maguire, who penned the best-selling novel "Wicked," will join that musical's producer, David Stone, for a conversation on the hit musical. The 7 PM event on Oct. 26 will also feature cast members from Wicked performing selections from the musical.

Jayne Amelia Larson will offer her one-woman show, Driving the Saudis, based on her experience as a chauffer for a family of Saudi royals, on Oct. 27 at 8 PM. 92YTribeca will also welcome the cast and creators of Broadway's [title of show], the insider's look at four friends and the little musical that could. Ira Glass will moderate a discussion with Hunter Bell, Jeff Bowen, Heidi Blickenstaff, Susan Blackwell, director Michael Berresse and musical director Larry Pressgrove on Nov. 5 at 5:30 PM.
