News Maguire, Morris, Patterson, Tomei and Urla Set for Off-Broadway's In the Daylight Tony Glazer's dark comedy In the Daylight — presented by The Vital Theatre Company — will play a limited engagement Off-Broadway at the McGinn Cazale Theatre beginning Sept. 8.

Directed by John Gould Rubin, the production will officially open Sept. 20 and continue through Oct. 11.

The cast features Sharon Maguire ("Law & Order: SVU," Tartuffe), Ashley Austin Morris ("The Electric Company," Paper Dolls), Jay Patterson ("Murder, She Wrote," All the King's Men) Concetta Tomei (Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead, "Weeds") and Joe Urla ("Seindfeld," "The Wire").

Glazer's play, according to press notes, is a "comic tale about a well-known writer and his homecoming to a family he has been avoiding for many years. As the play unfolds we discover the true reasons for his extended absence and the dark secrets his family has been keeping."

The creative team includes Thom Weaver (lighting design), Chris Barreca (scenic design) and Elizabeth Rhodes (sound design).
