The evening, which is entitled Jane Monheit Swings Cole Porter’s Anything Goes, is part of the Broadway at Birdland concert series. The 7 PM concert features Monheit performing new arrangements by Mary Ann McSweeney.

The event is also a fundraiser for The Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative, created to address the myriad of concerns women face when challenging a serious medical condition; services include intensive case management, individual counseling, support groups and links to short-term financial assistance.

Monheit’s backup band for the evening features McSweeney on bass, Jim Ridl on piano, Freddie Hendrix on trumpet, Alvester Garnett on drums and Bucky Pizzarelli on guitar.

Monheit has received two Grammy nominations and recently released her newest album, “Home,” a collection of standards that represents a return to her roots as a jazz musician.
