News Marcia Milgrom Dodge Will Direct Third Annual Born for Broadway Benefit The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation will present its third annual Born for Broadway benefit May 21 at the American Airlines Theatre.

Tony Award-nominated director Marcia Milgrom Dodge (Ragtime) has signed on to direct the 8 PM concert. Lawrence Yurman (On A Clear Day You Can See Forever, Grey Gardens) is the musical director.

Born for Broadway, according to press notes, "is an exciting one-night only cabaret event featuring the best talents from current and past Broadway shows. The evening benefits the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, which is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research, and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information and advocacy."

Participants as well as special hosts will be announced at a later date. Past hosts include Richard Kind and Kathie Lee Gifford.

Born for Broadway began as a student-sponsored musical revue at Marymount Manhattan College, where founder and executive producer Sarah Galli was enrolled as a performance major. Galli started the event to involve the theatre community and raise funds for the organization.
