Martindale will play Mags Bennett, the matriarch of a Kentucky pot-farming (and former bootlegging) family that has been a thorn in the side of Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) and his family for many years. Mags' son, Dickie, will be played by Jeremy Davies of "Lost."
A Tony Award nominee for her performance as Big Mama in the 2003 revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Martindale appeared Off-Broadway in Always, Patsy Cline; Steel Magnolias; Curse of the Starving Class; The Miss Firecracker Contest; and Talking With. Her recent screen credits include "Secretariat," "Mercy" and "Dexter."
The second season of "Justified" is set to begin in February 2011 on FX.
