Chalk up one more award for playwright Donald Margulies. On June 27, the Dramatists Guild Fund will present the scribe with the third annual Madge Evans-Sidney Kingsley Award for outstanding contributions to the theatre. Actress Marion Seldes will also be honored. Each will receive an honorarium of $20,000. Margulies, whose plays included Collected Stories and The Model Apartment, has won the Pulitzer Prize and other awards for Dinner With Friends.
Seldes has appeared in such plays as A Delicate Balance, Deathtrap, Ivanov and Ring Round the Moon.
The awards honor the lives and careers of the actress Madge Evans, and her husband, playwright Sidney Kingsley.
