The play, formerly called The Extinction Method, opens May 25. Tony nominee Sam Buntrock, who staged the 2008 Broadway revival of Sunday in the Park With George, directs the play about people in adjacent Brooklyn Heights apartments. The performers each play two characters.
According to MTC, "Annie and Nate, who have a baby who won't sleep. Claire and Luke are losing sleep over the decision to get married and start a family. In adjacent Brooklyn Heights apartments, Daniel Goldfarb's newest and wittiest look at love, sex, commitment and parenthood unfolds and no one will rest until the truth between each of these couples is spoken."
Goldfarb's works include Adam Baum and the Jew Movie;The Retributionists; Sarah, Sarah; Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me; Modern Orthodox; Radio Girl; Party Come Here; and Jerry Christmas.
The creative team for Cradle and All includes Neil Patel (scenic design), Mattie Ullrich (costume design), Ken Billington (lighting design) and Jill BC DuBoff (sound design).
