Philadelphia's Walnut Street Theatre kicks off its 199th season with this brand-new staging of the classic tale of Don Quixote, inspired by Miguel de Cervantes' picaresque novel. The world of Don Quixote is brought to life by Cervantes himself, having been harshly imprisoned. Using only his fellow prisoners and a great amount of imagination, Cervantes tells the noble and romantic story of a man determined to win the heart of the woman he loves, protect the weak, uphold chivalry and right the wrongs in a cold and uncaring world.
