A drawing-room comedy about two childhood friends who have grown into successful authors as adults. Faced with various challenges, the two women, who thought they were growing apart, find they may have much more in common than expected. Old Acquaintance originally premiered on Broadway in 1940, followed by a 1943 Bette Davis film adaptation.
Featuring original songs by Arcade Fire's Will Butler, the David Adjmi play enjoyed a sold-out world premiere Off-Broadway via Playwrights Horizons.
