News Marriott Theatre Season Includes How to Succeed..., Sister Act and More The Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire, IL, has announced its 2016 season. The season will include five musicals in its subscriber series as well as one limited-engagement musical.

The season will open with Sister Act, directed by Rachel Rockwell, Feb. 10, 2016. The musical, based on the Whoopi Goldberg movie of the same name, will run through April 3, 2016. Sister Act features music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Glenn Slater and a book by Cheri Steinkellner and Bill Steinkellner with additional text by Douglas Carter Beane.

Following will be Evita, directed by Amanda Denhert. The show will open April 13, 2016, and play through June 5. Evita features music by Andrew Lloyd Weber and lyrics by Tim Rice.

Next will be Man of La Mancha, a musical inspired by Miguel de Cervantes' "Don Quixote." The show will run June 22-Aug. 14, 2016. Man of La Mancha features music by Mitch Leigh, lyrics by Joe Darion and a book by Dale Wasserman. The production will be directed by Nick Bowling.

How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying will follow, playing Aug. 24-Oct. 16, 2016. The show features music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and a book by Abe Burrows, Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert. How to Succeed… will be directed by Don Stephenson with choreography by Alex Sanchez.

Closing out the theatre's traditional five-show series will be Singin' in the Rain from Oct. 26-Dec. 31. The show is based on the MGM film of the same name. It features a book by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, music by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed and lyrics by Arthur Freed. Singin' in the Rain will be directed by William Brown.

Additionally, the Marriott Theatre will present Spring Awakening Jan. 14-31. The show is not part of the subscriber series. It will be directed by Aaron Thielen. Spring Awakening features music by Duncan Sheik and a book and lyrics by Stephen Sater.
