A mother confronts the killer of her 9-year-old daughter in Frozen, or Dead?, a new play by Santa Clara playwright Martha Engber, which closes at the Dorie Theatre's Complex Theatre in Hollywood, July 19. The show began performances June 11.
Both characters in the drama come from disadvantaged backgrounds, though the mother chose normalcy while the criminal let society beat him down. Throughout the run, the show will donate 10 percent of its earnings to Theatre of Hope for Abused Women.
Noah Wagner and Jill Whelan star in the drama, which is directed by Danny LeClair for Two Hands Productions. Whelan is best known for playing Gavin MacLeod's daughter on the original "Love Boat" television series.
