As previously reported by Playbill On-Line, Mary McCormack, best known for portraying Howard Stern's wife in the Stern biopic "Private Parts," will replace Jennifer Jason Leigh as Sally Bowles in the Roundabout's Tony-winning revival of Cabaret on Broadway. Leigh, who replaced Natasha Richardson, leaves the role Feb. 28. McCormack will start performances March 2 for a stint through May 2, opposite Tony-winning "Emcee" Alan Cumming.

McCormack's credits include a memorable season in the television drama "Murder One" and last summer's first asteroid flick, "Deep Impact." According to production spokesperson Erin Dunn (at Boneau/Bryan Brown), McCormack's New York theatre credits include A Fair Country at Naked Angels and Nicky Silver's My Marriage To Ernest Borgnine at the Vineyard.

Cumming is slated to stay with Cabaret until March 1999; after that no replacement Emcee has been announced. Still with the show are Blair Brown (Schneider) and original cast members John Benjamin Hickey (Cliff), Denis O'Hare (Ernst), Michele Pawk (Kost) and TOny winner Ron Rifkin (Schultz).
