The vocal foursome Il Divo held on to the top two spots on the crossover chart, with The Christmas Collection at number one and Il Divo at number two. Both albums increased their sales this week as the holiday shopping season approached.
The top spots on the classical chart were also unchanged, with Cecilia Bartoli's Opera Proibita and Ren_e Fleming's Sacred Songs at numbers one and two. The biggest mover of the week was the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's Peace Like a River, which jumped from number 18 to number 12 in its 70th week on the chart.
The only new entry was a new recording of Debussy's La Mer by Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic. The album, which also includes the composer's Prelude a l'apres-midi d'un faune, La boêÎte _ joujoux, and Three Preludes, debuted at number 22.
