Music director David Loebel will lead the MSO, the MSO Chorus, the Gary Beard Chorale, and the Memphis Vocal Arts Ensemble in Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. Soloists include soprano Karen Schowalter, baritone Laurence Albert, and tenor Randal Rushing.

"This concert is the best way we have of supporting our fellow musicians in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama who lost their homes and their livelihood in the storm," said Loebel. "We choose Beethoven's Ninth because its message of hope and brotherhood has special resonance at this time."
