News Meryl Streep Says She's Full of "Steam and Noise and Funk" on "Letterman" (Video) Award-winning actress Meryl Streep appeared on "The Late Show With David Letterman" Dec. 10.

The two-time Academy Award winner, who stars as the Witch in the forthcoming movie musical "Into the Woods," discussed her family and receiving The Presidential Medal of Freedom.

"Whenever we get actors or actresses — young, or maybe not so young — first time to have worked with you, it's always, 'What's it like working with Meryl Streep? You must have been scared silly,'" Letterman said. "And they always are. You must love that."

"I know that. I'm like this big train that's coming in, with a lot of steam and noise and funk," Streep said. "Grand Funk Railroad, I think I was thinking of."
