The event, which will include panel discussions and film footage of Anderson in performance, celebrates the 50th anniversary of Anderson's debut at the Met on January 7, 1955. Among the singers scheduled to speak at the event are Harolyn Blackwell, Grace Bumbry, Vinson Cole, Denyce Graves, Shirley Verrett, and Roberta Peters, who appeared with Anderson in her Met debut. Allan Keiler, the author of Marian Anderson: A Singer's Journey, will moderate a panel.

Tickets are $50-$125 and are available through the Met Guild at 212-769-7009 or www.metguild.org, the Alice Tully Hall box office, or CenterCharge at 212-721-6500.
