News Michael Douglas Honored With Marvin Hamlisch Memorial Award June 3 In support of the American Cancer Society, One Centennial Sensation honors the late Marvin Hamlisch's birthday with an evening of performances and appearances by friends and family June 3.

The event is held at the Hudson Theatre at the Millennium Broadway Hotel, where Michael Douglas receives the first annual Marvin Hamlisch Memorial Award.

Scheduled performers include Matthew Morrison, Lilla Crawford, John Lloyd Young, Capathia Jenkins, Robert Klein, Maria Friedman, Joel Grey, Kelli O'Hara, Marissa McGowan, Ben Vereen and Bernadette Peters.

Hamlisch's stage credits included A Chorus Line, Imaginary Friends, Sweet Smell of Success, Minnelli on Minnelli, The Goodbye Girl, Seesaw, They're Playing Our Song and Minnie's Boys. Some of his film work included "The Way We Were," "Ordinary People," "Sophie's Choice" and "The Mirror Has Two Faces."

Mr. Hamlisch died in August 2012.
