News Michele, Pascal, Reichard and Naughton Set for Alive in the World Zipper Benefit Bright Lights Big City composer Paul Scott Goodman's new musical, Alive in the World, will be presented in a special benefit for the Twin Towers Orphan Fund at the Zipper Factory in January 2008.

The Jan. 13 and 14 concert presentations of Alive in the World are described as "a bold new musical theater work about living and loving in post-9/11 New York City. Six characters explore feelings of longing, loss, hope, fear and happiness."

Sh-K-Boom-Ghostlight Records founder Kurt Deutsch directs the evening featuring Spring Awakening's Lea Michele, Jersey Boy Daniel Reichard, Rent star Adam Pascal, and original Alive in the World NYMF cast member Greg Naughton. Additional cast members will be announced shortly.

Creative duties for the concert staging include music direction by Jim Abbott, musical staging by Dan Knechtges and lighting design by Herrick Goldman.

The Twin Towers Orphan Fund was founded on September 12, 2001 for the sole purpose of providing educational and welfare assistance to the children who were orphaned (who lost one or both parents) by the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
