News Michelle Terry and John Light to Star in A Midsummer Night's Dream at Shakespeare's Globe in London Olivier Award winner Michelle Terry and John Light will star in A Midsummer Night's Dream at London's Shakespeare's Globe, beginning performances May 24 prior to an official opening May 30 for a run through Oct. 12.

Terry, who is currently appearing on the London stage in Before the Party at the Almeida (through May 11), won an Olivier Award in 2011 for the original production of Nina Raine's Tribes at the Royal Court. She co-writes and stars in the Sky1 TV series "The Café."

Light’s recent theatre credits include Luise Miller (Donmar Warehouse), The Master Builder (Almeida) and True West (Sheffield Crucible). TV credits include "North & South," "Silk" and "Band of Brothers," and his film credits include "A Lion In Winter" with Patrick Stewart and Glenn Close.

Directed by Shakespeare's Globe artistic director Dominic Dromgoole with music from Claire van Kampen and designs by Jonathan Fensom, the production also features Olivia Ross and Sarah MacRae, returning to the Globe to play Hermia and Helena, respectively, after previously appearing there, respectively, as Princess Katherine in Henry V and Bianca in The Taming of the Shrew. Joshua Silver (recently in Trelawny of the Wells at the Donmar Warehouse) and new RADA graduate Luke Thompson will play Demetrius and Lysander, respectively.

Casting is completed by Huss Garbiya, Tala Gouveia, Tom Lawrence, Christopher Logan, Molly Logan, Fergal McElherron, Edward Peel, Pearce Quigley, Stephanie Racine and Matthew Tennyson.
