News   Miller, Birdsong, Brennan Return to NJ's Surflight for Anniversary Show Aug. 31
Alumni of past seasons of Surflight Theatre in Beach Haven, NJ, will appear there Aug. 31 in Steps in Time: The Story of Surflight, a celebration of the 60th anniversary of the organization.

Alumni expected to appear are James Brennan (1967–71), star of Broadway's 42nd Street and Me And My Girl; Roy Miller (1975-78), producer of Broadway's West Side Story, The Drowsy Chaperone, and upcoming Ragtime revival, along with Bill Angstadt (1971-74); Mary Birdsong (1987-89) of Hairspray, Theatre World Award for Fame Becomes Me; Robin Blackburn-Ellis (1978); Paul DeLuca (1978–94); Grant Golson (2002, 2006); Lisa Hall (1976–78); TJ Kross (2000–03); Kendra Mara (1993–2000); Barbara Mundy (1969); Bruce Roberts (2006); Julie Rogelstad (1995, 2008); Walter Ryon (2003–present); Samantha Shafer (2008) of West Side Story; Candice Thompson (2000-2007); Mike Timoney (1975); and other Broadway performers still being lined up.

Miller said in a statement, "I am sure I speak for all Surflight alumni when I say that I will be forever indebted to Joe Hayes, Surflight's founder, for bringing Broadway to the beach 60 years ago, and to Surflight's current leadership for carrying on Joe's rich legacy."

Curtain time is 8 PM. Tickets to the event are $30 and include a post-show reception. Surflight Theatre is located 88 miles from New York City at Engleside and Beach Avenues in Beach Haven. NJ. For more information call (609) 492-9477 or visit
