News Millie Tour Sees Cast Changes; Roland Is Jimmy, Pope Is Muzzy
The national tour of Thoroughly Modern Millie continues flapping, tapping and mapping itself across America, landing July 27 at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa, California.

Since launching in 2003, the Millie company has seen some changes. The principal cast now includes Stephanie Pope (who replaced Pam Isaacs) as Muzzy; Anne Warren (who replaced Diana Kaarina) as Miss Dorothy; and John Ganun (who replaced Sean Krill) as Trevor Graydon. All three joined the company in its recent engagement at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles.

Richard Roland (Young Ben in the recent Broadway Follies) is taking over the role of Jimmy (replacing Mark Ledbetter who has stepped in to cover for an injured Brian McElroy) July 29. McElroy returns in late August.

Pamela Hamill is taking over the role of Mrs. Meers (replacing Hollis Resnik) on Aug. 10 in Tulsa, OK.

Michael Mayer (Broadway's current After the Fall and the new film "A Home at the End of the World") directs the tour of the Jeanine Tesori-Dick Scanlan Richard Morris musical inspired by the daffy movie of the same name. The show won the 2002 Tony Award for Best Musical.

Performances continue in Orange County to Aug. 1. Tour dates have been announced through 2005.
