News Mint to Stage The Madras House With Maxwell, Hogan, Morfogen and Kennedy The Mint Theater Company will stage a revival of Harley Granville-Barker's play The Madras House from Jan. 31-March 11, 2007.

The play will star Roberta Maxwell, George Morfogen, Laurie Kennedy and Jonathan Hogan. Gus Kaikkonen will direct.

Granville-Barker is known for the 1905 play The Voysey Inheritance, which is currently at the Atlantic Theater Company in an adaptation by David Mamet.

In the play, Constantine Madras, who founded a London fashion emporium and then left England to establish a polygamous household in Iraq, comes home to sell the business.

Maxwell's Broadway credits include Equus, Othello, Our Town, Summer and Smoke, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and King Henry V, and her film roles include Jake Gyllenhaal's character's mom in "Brokeback Mountain." Morfogen appeared on Broadway in Fortune's Fool and An Inspector Calls, among others, and played the role of Rebadow on “Oz.”

Kennedy received a Tony nomination for Man and Superman and has also appeared on Broadway in Angels in America and Major Barbara. Hogan was nominated for As Is, and his other Broadway credits include The Homecoming, Taking Steps, Burn This, The Caine Mutiny Court Martial, Fifth of July, Otherwise Engaged and Comedians.
